BISMARCK, ND --(Marketwired - January 04, 2016) - MDU Resources Group Inc. (NYSE: MDU) today announced that Anne M. Jones has been named vice president of human resources, effective Jan. 1. She succeeds Mark Del Vecchio, who left the company in October 2015.
"Anne has extensive knowledge in the human resources arena. She brings more than 30 years of experience to her new role, which will serve the corporation well," said David L. Goodin, president and CEO of MDU Resources. "A key strength Anne brings to the role is her interpersonal capabilities, which is so important in the human resources function of any business."
In her expanded role Jones will oversee human resources at MDU Resources, as well as the corporation's business units WBI Energy, Inc. and the utility group, which includes Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., Great Plains Natural Gas Co., Cascade Natural Gas Corp. and Intermountain Gas Co.
Jones joined the corporation in 1982 at Montana-Dakota Utilities, where she worked in various departments. Jones joined the human resources department in 1995 and has led the utility group's human resources area since 2008. In 2013 she was named vice president of human resources, customer service and safety at the utility group.
Jones has a bachelor's degree in management with an emphasis in human resources from the University of Mary. She is a graduate of the University of Idaho Utility Executive Course.
